Concrete Staining
Concrete stains are a beautiful way to create a truly custom commercial floor. Stains are available in a near unlimited number of colors and combinations. Some of the most popular types of stains are acid stains, acrylic stains and concrete dyes. Concrete dyes can be used in conjunction with concrete polishing to....create a dramatic reflective surface. The results achieved from a concrete stain can be very unpredictable without a working knowlege of these products. Often times concrete slabs are not appropriate for different types of coloring methods.
Acid Stains
Acid stains are chemically reactive stains that create a mottled look with great variation in color. As the name indicates they are acids that react with minerals in the cement to chemically change the color of the cement. The results vary greatly depending on the concrete surface being stained and acid stains can be messy and hazardous to apply.
Concrete Dyes
Dyeing concrete creates a look similar to an acid stain but with much more predictable and consistent results. Dyes penetrate and color the concrete unlike many acrylic
stains which are just a paint-like coating.
Custom Designs
Stains can be applied in custom designs in an unlimited variety of color combinations and designs. Corporate Logos and custom graphics can also be stained into the concrete to create a design unique to your floor..
